Thanks to everyone who came out and supported Learning Gate at our annual Casino Night. We had a groovy time with great music, great fun, and great food! Let's do it again next year!
We need MANY volunteers to help us with two weekends of work to complete the largest part of the playground installation. If we get enough volunteers on the two weekends, then we won't have to close the playground during the school year. So PLEASE help us by coming out and volunteering. Students are welcome to help as well.
Our Donors Choose project is 'I Can Run For Miles and Miles". Pedometers have been used for centuries to measure distances traveled. Our students will be setting personal fitness goals and using the pedometers to measure distances traveled. Our students strive to improve their physical fitness with every physical education class. The pedometers will allow us to improve our fitness while tracking our progress in a fun innovative way. Students who have fun while being physically active are more inclined to be physically active adults.
Click the highlighted name above to view our donation page. Feel free to forward the page to family or friends who would like to support our physical fitness goals for Learning Gate students.
